Aw…what a great idea!  I hope some folks jump on board!

Stop in Charlottesville for lunch!  Don’t forget about the J.Crew stores I mentioned on the other thread!

@NJmeetsBX: So, you’re probably an 18 or 20 in bridal.  Most samples are 10s or 20s (to cover the most people possible, I guess), so you’ll find tons of 20s.  πŸ™‚

@NJmeetsBX: When are you thinking of coming down? I could possibly go with you, but would need advance notice to take time off work, plus the next 3 weeks are crazy…

You might try the NoVa board too.

I got my dress there and it was amazing! There are actually two sister stores; Church Street Couture has the high end designers – pretty much all from Kleinfeld – and Church Street Bridal has a much larger inventory of great dresses that were originally in the range of maybe 800-2000 or so. I love my dress from there! Only issue was that alterations cost me more than the dress…it had to be taken in a size or two, hemmed, and bustle added…but still the dress plus alterations added up to less than any dresses I had been considering before going there. I also loved the aspect of benefiting women in need, and the fact that you get to take your dress home without waiting for it to be ordered and shipped! I highly encourage you to check it out! Also, get ere early so you have plenty of time to look, take pictures, put your dress on hold, go have some lunch while you ponder, look at the pics and decide it is fantastic, and go back and buy it!
