200 dollars each or 200 altogether? I would probably keep the robes, but tell the seller you’re disatisfied and plan on leaving a detailed feedback as to why. Maybe she can make you a better offer, but at least then you’ll know other people are being warned about this seller.

It’s certainly not the color you ordered, but on my monitor it’s definitely not teal either, just a darker shade of green.

I would take the advice of the pp.

Ugh, the robe you got is not the one pictured- the difference can’t be explained by monitors displaying colors differently.  Personally I think the color is fine, but if you’ll hate seeing photos of them, then I would see if you can find some cute robes in a store and sell the ones you have to recoup some of your costs.  I would leave honest feedback, including that the seller offered a refund but that you would have to pay for international shipping.

So random- years ago I worked with the bride pictured in the group photo.

kb7:  Unfortunately I think she KNOWS you got the wrong color and doesn’t want to fix it so that part of the situation is really sucky :-/

But they are beautiful robes and I think your ladies will love them (I would!) and you don’t have to end up keeping the color you hate because your girls will keep them adn I’m sure they won’t mind the color 🙂

As long as you like the robe you’re wearing I wouldn’t send them back. Fighting over returns from India and China can be exhausting, costly, and eventually get you no where :-/

First of all, the colour is definitely wrong, no matter what she says. Now, personally I think the teal is fine, so I would just use them, but leave a detailed review letting other people know about the problems that occurred. However, it really sounds like you dislike teal and if you were looking forward to cute robe photos I would accept the refund, send them back and get robes from somewhere else.

kb7: Actually I think it sounds like an interesting idea… I guess it all depends what material they’re made of – like cotton might work. Perhaps you could take them to a dry cleaner or a fabric store and ask if it’s at all possible?

kb7: So I think I would get a piece of similar fabric and test on that, but I would also try to cut of a small piece of seam allowance from the robes and add it to the mixture – just to get an idea of what colour you might end up with.

kb7:  You could try it, if you really hate the colour that much. I really love the colour you got (even though it was obviously wrong) so I am biased- but I would just keep them. In the grand scheme of things, the maids will only be wearing these until their dresses are on, then the majority of pictures are of the ceremony/reception when they aren’t even in them.

Well, I don’t actually like those kinds of robes. Especially if I’m getting my picture taken. I feel like they don’t really cover things properly and come untied at inopportune moments so I’d be paranoid wearing one for an extended period of time with a photographer running around snapping pictures. So I voted send them back.

But, as silk robes go, I think the fabric is nice. So if you’re sold on the idea of putting everyone in robes for a photo op, I think they’re fine.

I actually think the new color is cute. Of course I would be nitpicky if I was expecting a mint green as well but from an outsider’s perspective, they still look great.
