I’d probably prefer a tank top, any color is fine but I’d probably prefer black.

barbie86:  don’t do tank tops unless they have really wide necks.  you will need to take these off over your heads after you’ve had your hair and make up done.

    what about button down shirts?

I’m getting robes for my girls with their names on them- no ‘bridesmaid’ or ‘moh’ so they can wear again.  It will also be better IMO with hair/makeup so they don’t mess anything up when taking it off to get ready vs a tank.

Whatever is cheaper honestly. I don’t see many people holding onto short satin robes.

    I would do robes.

I’m confused, if they’re doing their own hair and makeup first and will already have their dresses on, what are the shirts for?

barbie86:  I see! Well it does sound like there’s at least a CHANCE some will have already done their hair and makeup before taking off the shirts, so it does seem something that opens in the front is better. Either a robe or a button up shirt. Tank tops I would agree are a bit more fun if they take them off before doing hair and makeup, it just seems like too much of a risk to try to take them off over already done hair and face.

I’ve gotten two robes in weddings. I couldn’t stand them. I don’t wear them normally though. The sleeves drove me nuts. This is totally my personal opinion though. I noticed that none of the other bridesmaids kept them on though either. I would def love the tank top. 🙂

I would do men’s button down shirts. With rolled sleeves. And you could even monogram them.

Well, I just saw your wedding is in August, so maybe not monogram…but I love the look of the longer button down shirts on bridesmaids.

I love the look of robes when getting ready! So cute!

I also like pink. But that’s just because that’s one of my wedding colours, and it’s my favourite colour. So whatever colour if your favourite you should pick.

HoorayLouLou:  That’s what my daughter did.  We got mens Ralph Lauren dress shirts in pink and white stripes at Dillards for about 80% off and had the bmaids names embroidered on the back.  My daughter surprised me with one in lavender that said mother of the bride on the cuff!
