Could you explain what a rock the dress session is? I wouldnt be trashing it... right? Just wearing it? with my husband? or alone?
@lovebugfouts: In no way would you have to trash your dress -- you know how on your wedding day you'll do some pictures but (at least in my experience) you wont have a whole lot of time to spend on portraits? That's what I want to do. Like when I got married I had a close friend go with me and my hubby to several places and we took pictures - such as we went the Carasoul house in Faust Park and got pictures on the horses, we also went to Schalfy's (I know I spelled that wrong!) in the city and got pictures playing pool and we went to Dr. Jazz's in Webster Groves and got some pictures splitting a milkshake.
How often are you going to get to wear a wedding dress!? Hopefully only once -- why not make the most of it and do something fun that relates back to you and your spouse?
See what I'm saying?
That sounds great! what a smart idea! I would love to do this if you are willing after our wedding. August 18th... let me know if your still interested. Also, I might have some friends I could hook you up with if looking for a very soon photo shoot. =D
Would be interested in doing this, especially since FI and I do not have alot of time for portraits on our actualy wedding day. I was wondering how much you would charge for this session.

Hi,
This is so not meant to be spam or self promotion so please do not take it as that! I'm a local photographer and while as all photographers I love making a profit and wouldn't be able to do what I do if I didn't make a profit but that's not why I'm buggin' all you lovely brides in the area. I've been in your shoes and I know how busy your wedding day is -- so what I'm looking for is brides in the area (or within an hour drive) who are interested in doing Rock the Dress sessions for free. It's a second chance to get all decked out in your gown and get some great photos.
Again, I'm offering this free and I'm not naming my business name or anything because I don't want anybody to take this as spam. I just thought "Where better place to find a bride than on a wedding board!".
I guess just e-mail me through here or you can find me on facebook by searching for my name. Again, I'm trying really hard not to come off as spam!
Congratulations, btw. And here's my advice for any bride reading this: don't sweat the small stuff, when you look back on your wedding day you aren't going to remember that the florist put daisies in your bouquet when you didn't want daisies or that your mother in law wore a fancy white dress (seriously, that stuff has happened to people I know!) -- you'll remember how you felt more than anything else. The love you feel for your husband.
