- Wedding: October 2014
So, my FI and I are planning to get married at SF City Hall (a beautiful historic building). Its just going to be the two of us. We haven’t planned a party with guests or anything after. I’m planning to hire a photographer for our special day, and I want to put the photos on a website to share with my friends and loved ones. With that being said, people are going to be paying attention to what I am wearing. I am trying to decide what I want to wear, and I have narrowed it down to a couple dresses. I’ve always been a little quarky. Growing up I had pink hair and wore ripped up jeans a lot. These days I wear dresses a lot. But sometimes I like to mix it up with a really unique print. Like airplanes, for example! I like to be a little different.
I am considering wearing a shrug/bolero with my dress, and I am having a real hard time deciding between two very different looks. Should I go traditional with some beautiful lace? Or should I go with something that shows my personality a little bit more?
My dress will be really simple and modest. No lace, etc. Just white. Really streamlined.
The architecture in the building is historic, with high ceilings and lots of gorgeous details. I really love the shrug in the print (bows), but I am afraid it might clash with the location, or that I might regret not being completely traditional. But I am also afraid of not being true to myself. It’s a tough call for me. What do you ladies think? Thanks!
