I am usually into action films myself, but lately I’ve been looking at some more romantic films / movies.
Sometimes I see movies that have such a romantic feel o them. They have such sweet, strong romantic moments in them – a couple is being swept off their feet, falling deeply in love, like a Cary Grant-Audrey Hepburn sort of moment.
I’d be curious to know, if you’d be willing to share, if you were going to recommend a romantic film to me, what would it be.

This may sound a little strange, but as a total self confessed cinephile…I find that your standard issue, cookie cutter rom-com just doesn’t work for me. So here’s the ones I like:
Bram Stoker’s Dracula – Actually a rather intense theme of love being stronger than death…even when your a blood sucking creature of the night….plus I love the costumes.
Willow – Mad Martigan and Sorsha make it happen on the battle field..plus trolls and magic.. BONUS!
Dummy – This little known indie starring Adrien Brody has a sweet soul and a never ending series of touching moments.
Now Voyager – A classic Betty Davis picture, ugly duckling/swan song story, with a terribly romantic love affair and lots of smoking.
Those are just a few that I really enjoy…happy watching!

Sleepless in Seattle
and Pride and Prejudice (the newer one is easier to sit through. lol)

“P.S. I Love You” really touched my heart. I don’t watch a lot of romantic movies, but I really liked it.

I love, love, love The Notebook. I dont mean to sound cheesy, but that movie maybe realize that i wanted that kinda of passion and love, so i broke up with my high school sweet heart, cause i didnt have that and searched for that until i found it and of course, I married him lol

If you like musicals Moulin Rouge is a good one.
Also Woman Of the Year with Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracey is a good one if you like that generation of films.

“P.S. I Love You” made me cry like a child literally the entire movie and for about 30 minutes afterwards.

If you like older ones, try “It Happened One Night”

Wow, thats pretty amazing!
I haven’t seen the film but I did tell my fiancée – She cried like a baby (Sensitive Doer). She was on the phone for ages after that and then said that her and the girls will be organising a girlie night in and will be watching the film together (it doesn’t sound like any of them have seen it yet but they have gotten really curious and excited about it).
So it doesn’t just happen to princess’s in Hollywood.
If I were to be honest I would say that It made me quite emotional too.
OK I’m curious. I wonder if you would share with me what was it about the film that touched your heart?.
