I think gold or silver would be really pretty. I will try to find some pics!

Hope this helps!
Our wedding colors are red and white and I'm using accents of black and silver. I think some sort of metalic would look nice with red like a silver or gold. Have you looked at some red inspiration boards? You might find some combos there that will work for you.
Instead of champagne could you do a little darker tint than champagne but lighter than brown? Then incorporate the Red Roses. I think it would set the tone for something like Chocolate covered Cherries or Strawberries!!!
I will find some photos for you because with a Sept. wedding I think the Brown and Red would be very elegant!!! Just a thought! I am having Truffle color bm dresses and found it to be very flattering on all sking tones!
Maybe gold and/or chocolate brown? I think that would be really pretty.
I have put together 2 quick colour palettes that use the red rose and ivory colours but mix them up with other shades.
1. Mix in a pale pink and accessorize with gold and silver (much more flattering on bridesmaids).
2. An aqua colour with gold accessories looks great on any skin tone and the red roses will zing with this paler colour palette. The dark colour option is great for the grooms suit, it is a deep brown.
I hope this helps!
Wow. You girls are amazing. Do you think it makes a difference if the reception will be in a white tent? I was thinking about hanging red paper globes or having some fabric drape down so its not so whitey-white. What do you all think? or do you think with a white tent, i should stay away from red? I just love how romantic it is and the venue is very romantic (aside from the tent).
I think the white tent will be just perfect. It is the ideal blank canvas for you to show off your colour scheme through your table settings and accessories. Red paper globes would be perfect. I would keep the red colour to an accent though to avoid it being too overpowering. Red paper lanterns, red roses and maybe even red napkin rings would be the ideal balance.

Hi ladies! So I know for sure that I want red flowers (mostly roses) for a September New England Wedding. However, I am struggling with a color that will complement the dramatic red. I think our linens will just be the house ivory linens and I don't feel the need to upgrade. I just don't know what to do with my bridesmaids dresses. I feel like champagne color doesn't work well on all skin tones so I feel bad about that and black is sort of boring in my opinion, but I guess it could work. i just want everything to feel extremely romantic...I want tons of candles.
Anyone have pictures of weddings that can fall under this category or can think of a good complementary color? I feel like there are only so many choices that I can really go with but I think visualizing similar themes would be helpful.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
Thank you so much!
