Has anyone had any unforeseen issues with their rooftop venue?
Such as wind knocking anything over?
Difficult to hear wedding ceremony??
I’m planning the ceremony plus cocktail hour on the rooftop of our venue. Just wondering if anyone had any issues, that I should take into consideration.

@saritacg7: We attended a rooftop Wedding last year Maybe April. It was really beautiful.
Problems The wedding was really nice and they had a microphone so for sound it was not really a Problem. I would say the only Issue is that the brides veil Flew everywhere with the wind she had to take it off. but I was perfectly fine.

@bbfyso: Thanks, I didn’t even think of the veil blowing all over!

If you want candles they need to be in vases or hurricanes because the slightest beeze will blow out the flame.
What is your backup plan for rain? I know the odds are lower as you are in CA, but it could happen.

thanks about the candle tip, my mom already mentioned that when we were looking at this place. No unity candle ceremony, but I guess we can always do the sand ceremony or something else (not sure yet my FI thinks they are both lame.)
Yes we have a backup plan, my planners all ready have it if necessary. The rooftop also has an indoor space in the center. Plus 1/4 of the terrece is covered. So we can always do the ceremony in there and cocktail hr under the covered outdoor portion.
