Hello lovely Bees 🙂
So all through my dress searching/wedding thinking I’ve been trying to ‘imagine what you will wear when you walk down the aisle’ – and in my head I’ve always had an image of an off-the-shoulder gown full of elegance. I so far hadn’t found any that didn’t look like they came from the 80s, or where the shoulder part just looks odd, so I had turned my mind away from this idea as a lost cause and found (many!) other beautiful dresses that I like just fine.
THEN randomly looking online yesterday I came across this dress, Carmina by Rosa Clara. It is pretty much exactly what I had in mind, and by the looks of it it’s from their current season!!!! I was so shocked and surprised 😀
The only problem is I don’t even know if anyone in Brisbane (Australia) will have this dress in store, and I’m terrified of the price (my budget is $1500 MAX, but I’ve heard their range goes for upwards of that in the US, and wedding dresses are usually double the US cost here in Aus). So now I’m happy but sad haha
Anyway, here are some pics of this beauty 🙂

That’s a beautiful dress! I’m in Sydney and ordered my Two by Rosa Clara gown for $3500 – this is way more than I had originally wanted to pay for a dress. I think on the Rosa Clara site, they only have one authorised retailer and that is Peter Trends in Roseville (NSW) but Fashions by Farina (where I purchased mine) in Sydney also have Rosa Clara.

itsmeetam: Hi there 🙂 Do you mind me asking where you purchased your gown? Did you get it in store or did you purcahse it online?

christoffels: Hi! 🙂 How did you go with getting your dress? I am in a similar situation where I’ve find a Rosa Clara dress that I LOVE, but it is way out of my budget. I’m struggling to find anywhere that sells them online.

I actually fell in love with the Rosa Clara Cordoba dress from her 2014 Collection. She created a smiliar dress for her more affordable line, Two by Rosa Clara, called the Rhodesia. I just purchased it last week! It’s about $2k cheaper than the original which would put you around your budget. I would try this line or her Aire Barcelona. Definitely more affordable and still have the signature Rosa Clara style!

I am also in love with Rosa Clara Cordoba and the Rosa Clara Two Rhodesia! I’m in Boston and no salons carry either dress. Can you tell me where you purchased the Rhodesia? Also, you said that the Rhodesia is $2k less than the Cordoba…What prices were you given for both dresses?

Sorry for the delay! I got my dress at Designer Loft in NYC (Highly recommend it! Everyone is extremely nice there. I went back a few times and they never seemed annoyed– which a few other salones were). Cordoba is part of the Rosa Clara Collection and it’s around $4k. I had found that out last year when it was launching, so I don’t remember the exact price. You might be able to find it in a sample sale for less now that the 2015 dresses are out. Rhodesia is part of Two by Rosa Clara and this line is around $2k-$2.5k. Hope this helps!
