I think a rose ceremony is a lovely idea. Could you maybe fasten a unique broach to each mother?

There was a bee doing a unity sand ceremony to honor both her parents and the wedding.  Her ceremony included having the parents pour a layer of sand, while the officiant talked about how they shaped the bride and groom and made them the people who were entering into marriage.  Then the bride and groom each did a layer of their own colored sand to represent their individual strenghts they brought to the marriage and then the last layer was the bride and grooms color poured together to represent their marriage.  This would be a nice keepsake too after the wedding.
