I got 2,000 of my rose petals from China.. they are stiff as a board.. does anyone have any suggestions or ideas on how to make them not stiff..? They are dyed at the tips.. I wouldn’t want to risk washing them in either a machine or a sink bc I wouldn’t want them to fade at all… The other petals I got weren’t at all stiff.. Help me please!

I guess you could try steaming them.

mrsdevries: My only suggestion would be to flex them around a lot to break up whatever is making them stiff. Put them in a bowl and crunch them up in your hands continually while you watch TV or seomthing.

If your own your own dryer, maybe tumble dry on low for a few minutes in a tied pillow case with a tennis ball. I have done this with things that have come over starched (dryer with tennis ball) and it worked.

mrsdevries: I would try putting a few of them in mesh laundry bag in the dryer for a few minutes.

Yeah, wash or rinse a few by hand to see if they’ll bleed. If they don’t you could try fabric softener and water mixture too.
