I was a bit disappointed by the dress. Not that it’s not beautiful, I think I expected something more puffy, although not as puffy as Princess Diana’s. Kate is very slim, and the dress is very form fitting, but in the grandness of the W-Abbey, she looks too little in contrast. I wish there were more fro fro & fabric to make her more princessy & theatrical. The dress is a bit too conservative and make a young lady like her look old I’m afraid… Given the seriousness of the Church of England and the chilliness of London spring, she can’t really go strapless, so she chose what’s the most practical I guess. I wonder how the world would react if Kate wears a strapless gown with a fur shawl. LOL… But the good girl Waity Katy would not challenge the Palace like that… That wouldn’t be acceptable behavior.
I enjoyed looking all the interesting albeit some hideous hats the guests are wearing. Even Victoria Beckham stuck a mini toilet bowl looking thing on her head. So cute!! LOL
Congrats to Willy & Katy – they look happy & in love. That’s what marriage is all about – royal or not. Hope theirs will last as long as the Queen’s.

I didn’t like it. The bottom could have looked better for sure. Oh well It made me realize how much I adore my dress and how lucky I am to have found it.

I was a bit dissapointed also but still thought she looked stunning. Victoria Beckham was beautiful! wasnt she?!

I absolutely loved it. So timeless and elegant. It’s everything I hoped she would wear and more.

I think based on the situation that she was in, she picked the perfect dress for her. She was stunning, graceful and classic, and she didn’t play into the theatrics. It just doesn’t seem like her personality to play into them and I’m glad that she stayed true to herself and went conservative.

its a rule that the bride in a royal wedding must cover her arms and shoulders. So i think with that being said the dress was very young

She looked very classy and elegant, that’s really all I was expecting and was not disappointed. Diana’s dress now looks dated, I don’t think that will be the case with this dress when we look at it again in 30 years.

Loved the top, not as crazy about the bottom. I would have liked to have seen a more fit and flare look to see a little more modernity in the dress and show off her figure.

i LOVED her dress – it was everything i thought it would be for her – conservative, classic, and elegant

I loved it. It was classic and refined. I would have been disappointed had she went with something overly frilly or big. It was perfect for her.

I wouldn’t personally choose it, but it’s exactly what I expected- classy & elegant.

I love her dress. Very timeless. She doesn’t seem like the big production type. She looked so happy!

I liked it but I expected a little more WOW. I mean, I know her style is to be more simple and chic, which I think it was, but for such a big deal that was made, it seemed like something anyone could have already bought. She did look beautiful, and I liked it and thought she rocked it! I do love the lace and if that is the look I wanted on my wedding day, I would buy one like that, but I still thought she would think outside of the box a little more. I do respect that she followed tradition with the sleeves and just overall being conservative.

@yellowlace: Totally agreed. She’s a stunning bride. But with the massive deal the media has made out of it, and the venue – I mean who walks 4 min down the aisle with 1 billion people watching all over the world – the dress was a disappointment, cause it’s like nothing new. So much for the Alexander McQueen label… But I have to say in person it probably looks much more grand. Princess Diana’s dress, while dated in today’s standard, definitely has a big WOW factor – just by its sheer size & amount of fabric. LOL.

@HappilyEverAfter54: I can’t actually see the back of the bottom very much cause it was covered by the veil. The train is a little plain in my opinion, despite the subtle flower patterns… I love my dress much better too. haha.
