My RSVP date is 6 weeks before my wedding and I haven’t heard any complaints. I say go for 9/1/2012 if it’ll make it easier for you.

I chose Sept. 1 for our Sept. 22 wedding. 🙂

I chose August 20th for my Sept. 29th wedding.  It gives me a week to sort things out with the hotel (they release the room inventory on Aug. 27th) and to call missing rsvps.

yeah, I would say 3-4 weeks beforehand but do what makes YOU feel comfortable for your dates & obligations.

For our September 14th Wedding I did August 10th. I believe it’s a week before the hotel closed the blocked rooms and it gives me almost a month to get ahold of straglers.

It also depends on how large of a wedding you’re having. If you’re having a large wedding you might want to give yourself more time but if you’re having a smaller wedding it might now be that big of a deal.

I did August 21 for September 21 wedding.  I need the counts 2 weeks before, so I wanted to make sure I had time to contanct struggler..  because my family has more than a few.

If you want to do 3 weeks before I don’t think thats too early at all!

I did a month before our wedding date, and that worked out for us. Quite a few were OOT as well. Very few stragglers, and that’s going to happen anyway.

I like to say the earlier the better because it will give you more time to track them down. We’re doing 3 weeks before but I kind of wish we had decided to do 4 weeks before. Our RSVP cards are already printed and cut though and I refuse to redo them haha

I am sending mine out July 27 and having the rsvp date for August 30 for our October 6 wedding. I need a final count by September 6, for various vendors. It is early but it is what it is. Hopefully people will rsvp and not forget

I would do Sept 1. We are doing one month out so we can get the straglers by the two week mark.

Do Sept 1.  I did August 18 in order to give myself enough time with vendors and hotel cut off issues.

I think Sept. 1st is better.  Give you time to organize.

Check with your caterer and find out when you need a final head count and then make the deadline 1 week before that.

For me, Sept. 8 wedding, final head count is due 2 weeks prior to wedding, plus 1 week to find straggler’s equals 3 weeks before wedding is my deadline.  That put it at Aug. 18, but I did Aug. 17 because it’s my birthday!
