guest fill it out.

i suggest, writing a number on the back of the RSVP the corresponds to a spreadsheet just in case the guest forgets to write their name.

Guests are supposed to fill this out, but be prepared you will get cards that aren’t clear.  I never understood that line, and always had to look up how to respond when I received an invitation.  We just got one, and I filled it out as M r. FI’s full name then under it I added Ms. my full name, just to be sure.

 

@ajillity81:  +1 on numbering the backs.  The best idea I’ve gotten off WB so far.

I filled them out with the guest names.  I think it works well.  You don’t risk a blank being returned (don’t have to number or code them), you can always read the writing, and it’s clear who is invited.

It doesn’t seem common, though.

For very formal and fancy responce cards you would have each name printed. For most cards the guest fills out the card themselves.
