- Wedding: July 2012 - The Gables Inn, Santa Rosa, CA
When I was originally planning my wedding, many of the guide books, etc. said to count on 80% attendance of your guest list– I always considered that REALLY low, and maybe it’s just because I have a very close extended family, but I always expected my attendance to be much higher than that.
Now that I’m acutally receiving the RSVPs, I’m finding that I’m right and we will likely have between 90-95% attendance. We have had several people who we offered a +1 to say they’ll come alone, but I don’t really count those as no-show’s because it would have been people I don’t know anyway (and I hate being the 3rd wheel, so I wanted to give my single friends a chance to bring a date to hang out with).
So, I’m wondering– out of all the guests you invited, how many were actually able to attend your wedding? Is 80% really a realistic estimate, generally speaking?
