hi ladies, i am kind of freaking out right now! My rsvp date for the wedding is a week away from thursday and and alot of people have not replied back yet. The thing i am afaid of is if they dont reply back and show up at the wedding, their will be on seat for them. Ive emailed the ones i havent heard from and havent heard a word from them. Should i just assume if i dont hear from them that they arent coming??? Its just mostly people from my side of the family.

I’m expecting the same to happen with my side of the family. I’ve already decided that in that case, I will make a courtesy call. Give them a day or two to see if you get any response back.

I plan to call people directly if I don’t get an RSVP, just to double check that the lack of a reply meant a “no.” I am hoping a phone call will be more effective than an email or even having someone who sees that person on a regular basis find out for me.

You said mist of it’s family – can you put someone like your parents in charge of calling them directly and getting an answer? They shouldve already replied but some people also don’t check their email often. If u call and email and don’t yet a response I would assume no. Maybe you can have a few extra seats just in case? The catere should provide an overage in case of guest count changes. Good luck!!

I say you should call them, I know that in my case I’m going to have that same problem and they WILL show up 😉 SO I’m going to track them down hehe

Make calls and hunt them down. Enlist the help of other family members to try to hunt them down too.

Can you designate a bridal party or family member to do follow-up or reminder calls to these guests?

I just don’t understand how this happens to so many. I definitely understand a few forget etc, but I mean come on! Anyway I agree with everyone, try and call them, track them down using family members you can get ahold of etc. Emails aren’t forward enough at this point!
