We're getting ready to order our invites for our June 2nd 2012 wedding

While I need to double check with our cupcake baker, and our venue (we're buying tickets for everyone so it is well in advanced). I just checked 6 weeks before our date, and it's TAX DAY or well close enough to it... I don't want them to get lost in with them. Should I just bump it up?

I know we can't put it TO FAR in advanced, because well... then people will forget. Most of our guests are family. I mean FI's immediate family is 30 some people.

Also, does the bridal party and GM get invites?

@gogogiraffes: You are sending invites out WAY too early.  If your wedding date is June 2nd, I would suggest sending out invitations April 16th with an RSVP date of May 18th.

@andielovesj: She is saying she would send them around April 15 (tax day) and she's wondering if she should push it up because of that amount of mail going through the system.

No we need them back near then, because we're getting married at a baseball field, and a game is after the wedding. So they need to be able to release the seats that we don't use. I don't remember the date (i'm emailing them now).

Yes, bridal party and GM get invites. it's a handy way for them to have all the details in one location. we used ours in connection witha  GPS to get back and forth to the wedding so we had the exact addresses.

Why not check with your venue when they need the final head count and plan accordingly? I agree with the last poster, is there a reason you are sending them so early?
