We invited around 200 people. Our wedding was out of town for most of our guests. Also a huge chunk of the guest list is my husband's family and they are not that close.
We ended up with 100 yes and 100 no. Most of the no's were from my hubbies family ( only 6 people from his family came including his parents). Some of the no's were from friends and my family - who couldn't make the trip to our wedding.
We also had 7 "no shows" on our wedding day. I knew only because I took a peek at our place cards and noticed 7 that were not picked up (and the reception was already 2 hours in).
For out of town wedding its really hard to guess the attendance number. For a regular (not our of town) wedding I think the normal decline rate is around 20%.
We got back half of the people we've invited so far and the deadline was March 1st, im going to give it a couple more weeks then start making calls, I know we sent them out super early for our second batch but now we're deciding not to send out the second batch

Just wondering what everyone's total counts of invitee's you had sent out vs. how many actually stated 'yes'? My RSVPs are still dribbling in, slowly, but wanted to see if we're in the norm. for the amount of 'yes' vs. 'no's. We invited about 121 and got back 10 no's so far.
