Okay you might have read my engagement party issue I wrote a while ago.

Anyways so I have about 70 people coming to my engagement party... and they were suppose to RSPV by last Sunday (my engagement party is this Sunday (June 28th)).

I got 3 RSPVs... 2 from co-workers (the only co-workers that are coming I had some spots to fill so I invited two of my co-workers that I'm close to) and 1 from one of FI's groomsman.  That's it.  I was expecting at least 20 RSPVs (couples don't have to rsvp seperately)... but 3?  Seriously?  2 from people I see on a daily basis...

I wanted to be able to invite some other friends in lui of people not being able to make it (most of the people coming are just family and my mother's friends, there was no room for inviting our friends - yes everyone will be invited to the wedding) but I have no idea if people are going to make it or not because no one bothered to RSVP!

I'm a little annoyed.  I guess... if I don't hear anything... it means they are coming.  Is that save to say?

I know this is just the engagement party and I shouldn't be annoyed... but I really hope this is not going to happen for the wedding.

As I write this... I'm getting less annoyed but would any of you guys be annoyed about this?

Heck yes I would be annoyed! But not much you can do.

No, it's not safe to say they are coming. Call them! Or even better, have someone else call them! ;)

Yes...that's why for more informal events we've forgone the RSVP and used 'Regrets Only' by a set date.

I really believe many people think if they don't respond, that means you'll know they're coming. Drives me crazy!

You know I try to be an easy going person... but I'm also a planner... so I really hate when people are wishy washy... and them not RSVPing... is totally driving me crazy... but I'm trying really hard not to let this bother me... because my FI is so not worried... but argh!

Thanks for the comments, I'm glad I'm not the only one.  ^_^
