So two of my relatives’ RSVPs have already come back with Mr & Mrs & Family written in the line. They each have 3 kids (grown in college). I know some of my cousins have summer internships in other states/ other commitments. Because of “& family” I am left wondering are all the cousins coming? Could you just write their names so I know for sure? But…I know for a fact they are probably still debating and just wanted to leave it open. Now I’ll have to call though 🙁

@Miss Chloe: ugh..sorry you have to go through that! It’s a good thing it’s family…so I’m sure they’ll feel bad 🙂

Annoying, no? We’re still dealing with it, too.
The RSVP thing— I can’t wait for that to be OVER!

Ahhh yea, the rsvps can be so annoying. I got one the other day and all the person had written was “Diane”….. that was helpful. Luckily i did that numbering thing that i saw girls suggest and here so I was able to figure it out! I also hate when I get an RSVP of no from someone who said they’d come for sure :(.

I would call them or have your mom call to make sure. We had to chase down a few RSVPs this past week and it was definitely the least favourite part of the planning for me, so far.

Yeah some people just do not get that the whole point of rsvps is to figure out how many people are actually coming.
My favourite so far has been the texts I have been getting saying “we are coming” but then being told that they aren’t going to send back the rsvps.
Gee thanks. I guess I shouldn’t have bothered to put stamps on the return envelopes.

I had added a line to put the number attending.
So far my favorite has to be when I invited the family of 3 who rsvp 4..and find out that the kid (College kid) is going to bring his gf….thanks for asking!
But I’m still waiting for people! I have gotten texts and emails. Oh well if they don’t send me the rsvp back…but if they contact me saying they are coming, I hope they do!

i never realised how challenging getting RSVPs back would be! Our RSVP date was May 15th and we are still waiting on a few! Also we invited kids and some people arent bringing theirs but have RSVP for the whole family so I was only to assume that meant ALL the family errg…

Yes, the dreaded stupid RSVP’s…the bane os the planning process! It is like pulling teeth to get a simple yes or no, and the # of people adding guests is driving me CRAZY! We can’t afford all this! *Sigh*, why didn’t we elope? LOL

I hear ya. Trying to track down about 25 extended family members by the end of the week.

Ha! Yes. I can relate. We invite the parents and the kids, and then the RSVP only mentions the parents. It’s like… okay???? What about your damned kids, dude?!

Ughhh! Yeah RSVPs not fun. With about a week and a half left, we have received RSVPs from only about 1/2 the pple we invited. Awesome. I really did not intend to spend a week calling this many people to harass them, but alas. But so far, the RSVPs we have received have been completed in their entirety, save for one without names. There is a line on the RSVP card that clearly asks your to write your name (it actually says “Name” which I did on purpose to try to avoid any confusion). Le sigh..

@missmouse29: yep totally got a couple of “text” rsvps or people just telling my parents. So annoying!
@Beluga: yeah mine was the reverse, invited only the parents & then they rsvp the parents AND the kids. Really? What do people not understand about “Mr. & Mrs….”
@Jaxx317: Wow! Only 1/2! I really feel for you. Luckily, almost all of ours but 3 have trickled in.

i friggin hate worrying about rsvps! i mean when im invited to a wedding or other event i reply in time and if i want to bring someone that was not invited i either ask or just dont… i got an rsvp that said.. i am bringing a friend… i wanted to text her and say ok well make sure you bring an extra $100 for her meal! ugh.

I just got an RSVP “no” from a person who originally texted yes! At least she sent in the card & let me know.
