I swear. Like all other brides mention – I can’t make it ANY easier!
1. simple fill in the blank card: Yes, No, # attending, Name of guests
2. Self addressed and stamped envelop – non lick!
I get 4 invites out of 20 after the deadline passes.
After hunting everyone down I get an RSVP with two names on it, but only 1 person attending. I contact the person to clarify and she says oops it’s actually supposed to be three.
The other non RSVPs respond to me by saying “oh, you know i’m coming anyway, so I didn’t bother to fill it” Why the heck would I send you a SELF addressed AND stamped envelope if didn’t want you to reply?? One of those responders which I expected to be just two people was actually 5. How was I supposed to know unless you fill stuff out.
I expected 30, but now I’ve got 50. ::shudder:: It will work – but its going to be squeezy.
I just think it’s annoying. All I’m asking is a courtesy. They are, after all getting free food and booze. Shouldn’t they WANT us to provide enough?

@lynnchee: people these days just don’t understand the formality of some events. Most people think their RSVP doesn’t have any importance and think, why bother? When in all reality, it is an extra place setting, a chair, more food, appetizers, tab at the bar, slice of cake, song request, favor, handshake, and thank you card (if they got you anything). So I hear ya.

Can I just SCREAM!!???? PLEASE!! I am getting so irritated with the whole thing. At first I was so happy getting the mail, but now I have people asking if they can bring people, others not asking and ADDING them to the RSVP and others they say “Oh I am bringing so and so” UM NO! They were not invited! *especially So and So because I hate her!!* And some family members saying “I responded for so and so because they won’t respond”!
Commence screaming now!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH
I don’t think I will even get the mail tomorrow! Take a day off from it all! I am going to go shopping for clothes! Nothing wedding related, just clothes….for me!
You should do the same 😉
