I do not see how difficult it can be to RSVP. I gave everyone a stamped, self-addressed envelope. I have received 4 RSVPs to far and there are problems with each one.
1. My friend texted me her RSVP and food choice
2. Fiance’s friend sent me a photo message with a picture of his response card
3. 2 responses via the response cards-neither have initials next to meal choices and we are having a plated dinner (the card says: please place initial next to meal choice)

- Wedding: July 2012 - Baltimore Museum of Industry
I also asked for initials- so far have 5 out of 25 who rsvp’d, just filled in a number. So, I get to track everybody down. :)-

@orchid84: #2 is my favorite so far on the Bee. Seriously? Sent a photo of the card, instead of sending the card itself?

I know! People don’t read! I sent out my invitations for my destination wedding a month ago so far I’ve recieved 4 RSVPs in the mail….they have 3 weeks left to respond so I can let my wedding planner know and we can finish ordering things (favors, meals, chair covers, menus, programs etc. etc.). By June they should know if they are coming or not because they need to book accomodations and travel. This isn’t a get in the car and go kind of wedding. You have to take 2+ planes!!!
- My sister called me with her food choice but is still flip flopping on if she’s coming or not.
- My mom called me to tell me her food choice.
- My Future Father-In-Law didn’t select anything for Future Mother-In-Law.
- One of my RSVPs had no names?
- Another was a plus one and they both ordered different entrees but didn’t write initials so I know who gets what.
I don’t feel like tracking people down. Besides, I gave them a freaking stamp! Lick the darn envelope and mail the darn RSVP card lazy!!!! I’m so done with this. I’d rather have a romantic dinner for two than deal with this BS. Where is the hot red mad face?…this will have to do

I guess I made our RSVP’ing too complicated as well. We are having a SUPER relaxed outdoor wedding with a buffet style dinner, so I just put our wedding website address on the invitation for people to RSVP there. Seriously! All the have to do is go to the site, enter their name and email and they are on the list, but so many have stopped me at random family events (grad party, etc) or texted me.

i do not want to make it worse but i also asked for an initial. only 3 of 75 did it. the country club will have to deal with me just saying mr & mrs smith 1 chicken 1 beef. thats as good as it gets at this point!!!

Wow! I’m glad I’m not alone! I was just talking about this today with my mom. I was like “How hard is it to drop a card in the mail?” I don’t even need people to make a food choice. I still have more than half of my rsvps that I’m waiting on.
I also don’t understand why some people want to just tell me if they are coming or not. I would much rather they just mail the card in for me to keep track of.

idk, i will be mailing in an RSVP tomorrow that said to send it by the 25th. realistically, idk if it can get from VA to cali in 3 days, but i literally JUST got my work schedule for the middle of june, so there wasn’t really anything I could do. i feel kinda bad
texting an RSVP seems kinda strange, though!

I got a ton of text’d rsvp’s! It took about a week to hear back from about 20 guests who didn’t RSVP, I got their paper rsvp’s about a week AFTER I called or texted that said they would come!
