I want to make my RSVP’s sassy but cute. We are having a destination wedding in Key West, FL and i was thinking of putting
My bags are packed! / Can’t seem to find the car keys
My bags are packed / Gas prices have gone too high
My bags are packed / Our tire has gone flat
But im not sure i love any of them yet. Any suggestions or which do you prefer?? Please help im submitting my invitations to the designer today!

Maybe I’m just slow this morning, but I find them all to be a mixed message.
My bags are packed= I’m coming
But the last half of each one is making an excuse why I can’t be there.

I think OP means to say “My bags are packed!” is the “accept” option, and she’s trying to find a cute way of wording the “decline” option, these are the possibilities she’s considering.
What about, for the declines, “Wish we were there! Send us a postcard” or something like that? Just because “can’t find the keys” has overtones of “I’m too disorganized,” “Gas prices are high” reads “I can’t afford to come, etc.” The postcard thing is a little more upbeat, i.e. “we really wish we could be there.”

@julies1949 thats the point 🙂 the first half is the accept and the second is the decline

hehe thanks @KCKnd2 🙂 I’m open to different opinions also

Another possible “decline” option: “We’ll be there in spirit.”

@KCKnd2: I love the “send a postcard” option for a decline

It’s hard to pull off sassy/cute wording on invitations, and I’m not a fan of it, especially relating to RSVPing. Sometimes cutesy phrases can rub people the wrong way. You can do cute things with the design, though, like flip flop icons or something.
