@Pixie26:  Your RSVP date is 3 weeks away.  If you wanted all of the responses already, you should’ve set the RSVP date earlier.  People still have 3 weeks to send their responses to you and be ON TIME.

You are getting married in May of next year, and you sent your invites already? I would have a really hard time committing to a function in May the August previous.

We’re getting married in a month and only have half our RSVPs back! But we know everyone is coming because we’ve spoken to them and they’re all excited.

We sent save the dates in November (for a September wedding) and most people booked their accommodation there and then – we still don’t have an RSVP though!

Have you spoken to your guests? Do you know them well enough to know if some people will be coming, even if they haven’t sent in their response yet?

Don’t worry 🙂

@Pixie26:  I wouldn’t worry!  People always wait until the last minute to RSVP and many people just plain forget and you have to hunt them down.  For our wedding, we had a flood of RSVPs right after the invitations went out and then again the week before they were due.  There were definitely a couple of dead weeks were we barely recieved any RSVPs.

@SeaSalt:  She got married May this year – she’s having a reception for those who didn’t make it to the DW.

Don’t worry! Our RSVP date was last week, and I’ve still got about 50 people to hunt down.

We still are waiting on about half of our rsvps to come back, so i understand how you feel! We only have 2 weeks left ourselves. We put reminders out on FB and got alot of responses stating they would mail them in asap. Try that? or call your parents and ask them to help with calls! Good luck!

@Pixie26:  haha. you’re fine. we invited 190 and we’ve had about 90 RSVP – that means 100 people are still outstanding!! (our deadline is 12 days away). i’m going to be super annoyed to have to track down all those people, but what can you do? my family is just a bunch of hillbillies that don’t get it.

@Pixie26:  Haha yeah, you are not alone!  I have not known a bride who hasn’t had your problem.

Pro tip:  Create a Google spreadsheet and share it with your mom.  Tell her you’ll update it every day as you get new RSVPs.  It should help keep her from calling every day – it did with my mom!
