@asagirl:  For us, there really was no pattern to it. There were several early “no”s, and of the people who missed the deadline and I had to reach out to, it was about split (I figured they’d all be “no” and td were just putting off telling us). Some of our yes people ahve also changed their RSVP due to different circumstances.

The people who didn’t RSVP by the deadline were mostly “no”s for us.

Mine are due back 9/20.  We’ve gotten 55%  back already and have 90 Yes’ so far and 17 No’s (mostly way out of state distant relatives).

There are people hwo haven’t responded yet who I know are coming because they booked a hotel room already!  I mean – just send in the RSVP please!!

@asagirl:  For us, there was no real pattern while receiving RSVPs in the mail. However, once we were more than a week past the due date, most of the people I had to call were unable to make it and apologized that they hadn’t gotten around to popping the RSVP in the mail. Really obnoxious because we had to estimate 10 extras to our vendors, so we now have an extra table that cost a lot of money. Fun stuff 😉

We had no pattern either.  Super random, and some surprising responses (some we expected to be no were yes, and vice versa!)

We invited 145 (150 including our vendors). We had 130 come. Those who didn’t come RSVP’d on time. Those who did not RSVP on time came but were late because they were working on getting a sitter, waiting to see if they had the day off of work, or didn’t get the invite in the mail (2 of our guests’ invitations were lost in the mail).

There really is no way of telling.

@asagirl:  I have the same RSVP date as you (and wedding date!)! I shave about 65-70% of them back and very few no’s! I am kind of worried that we will be the fluke wedding where everyone shows up! You would think getting married out of state and it being out if state for most people would equal no’s, but I guess not!

good luck with yours! When will you start contacting the stragglers?

We had 100% accept, although some of our single guests opted not to bring a +1.

68% yes.  I’m really happy with the final numbers– we are at 111, and we’d invited 162.  I really didn’t want a wedding that big so this is perfect!  Semi-destination wedding for most guests… not out of the country, but our families and friends are really spread out.  Almost everyone is traveling.
