Because the RSVP's are going to my parents house, my mom calls me every day to give me the updated count! It is so much fun!!

Aw that's exciting too!! Haha. I got 5 more today! I can't believe how close it is either!! :)
@nurselindsey: Yay!! Super exciting. We have 100 Yes's right now and 3 No's...We invited 199 and capacity is 200 so I was hoping for a few more No's by now so I can invite some of my brother's and FBIL's friends. We'll see!
@rachaelrobin: Same here! Evvery day my mom texts me in the morning with her guess at how many RSVPs we would get that day. The first day we bet a bottle of champagne on it and she ended up winning with her guess of 8!! Then she calls me every day when she gets home to tell me who RSVP'd so I can update the spreadsheet. It's so fun!!

We have received tons of RSVPs! All YES! I wonder when we will receive a no or if they just won't respond.
This is so exciting! At first I didn't know how excited FI was about this too! Yesterday he was off and told me that he checked the mail three times to see if we got any RSVPs. I couldn't stop smiling. So far, we have only one decline! And its a semi-destination wedding!
Love the RSVPs. I am a little nervous though because everyone told me that you would get a bunch of nos. We invited 242, and the space only holds 220. We currently have 152 yes and 6 no. Augh! I guess nobody has plans in January!
@magilnyc: LOL People told me that I would probably get a lot of no's due to it being NYD, but everyone is excited to have something to do on NYD.
All of our RSVPs are going to my FI's house - 1500kms away - because I live way out in the desert and we only get mail once a fortnight where I live 
I have to wait until he gets home from work for the daily update. Then my mother calls to find out who has responded. Last Monday we received our first responses and FI called me back an hour later to say that he found 3 more 'hiding' deep in a corner of the letterbox.
It's all pretty bloody exciting!
@blossom_bee: I can't imagine having to wait for someone else! Yikes! I was out of town and left before the mail came on Friday and made my FI tell me who had RSVP'd :)
We've not had ANY 'no' responses yet, I'm in the same boat as magilnyc! We've had people we didn't think would respond say 'yes'. We'll just have to scruch people in if more show up than anticipated ;)
We received our first no, but there are some people on our guest list who added on a few people. lol Thank God our venue can hold up to 600 people. Our parents were supposed to invite up to 400 people, but they went over.
I'm the bride's mom. We've only had one come back without the name written on it. They ARE coming though;-)
Well today is it!! Today is the deadline! 107 invites were sent out and we have recieved replies for all but 23. Not too bad! Well, about 5 days ago I did a little prompting with a friendly "Don't forget!" Facebook message. That brought in quite a flow! And so far we are right on track for how many people we are expecting to come! Monday will start the dreaded phone calling. Has anyone entered this stage already? Is it as bad as it sounds?
@TP to Bee: Yes. When I was home for Thanksgiving we only had 270 guests RSVPed. Now we are almost at 450 guests!
We gost three today and the official cutoff was 12/1. I have 16 open seats- hoping I don't have to turn anyone away-
Oh man we're missing more than I even want to THINK about. It's so frustrating. We've also had a lot of issues (we're talking close to a DOZEN) RSVP's that our post man delivered to wrong houses. Yes, I said houseS. We've lived here almost 3 years and it's the same guy. He waves at me but he can't figure out that we live here and not 2 cul-de-sacs over. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
@Princess- ha, ha- I know what you mean! We missed mail delivery two days and got stuff that should have come Friday. That messes up the Macy's coupon plans

We actual did pretty well with our cut off - only had to stalk a few people (ehm FI's frat brothers!). We had a looooot more no responses than anticipated, so that has been a bit of a bummer, but trying not to dwell on it. How are everyone's numbers shaking up?
i had 30 rsvps not in by our deadline. i've been calling but i'm still waiting to hear back from 6.
i have 2 gems from the phone calls i made this weekend. one was my uncle who was agitated that i was calling about his rsvp because he thought i was "in the loop" with the plan that he was using my aunt's spare hotel room. ummm....how am i suppose to be in the loop with an rsvp? isn't that it's for? the second one was my cousin that i had to call. i left a message with him and instead of calling me back with his response, he told his mom (my aunt) to email my mom to tell me that he won't be coming. he's 35.
anyone else have any interesting stories?

I sent out my invites Saturday (a little late, I know haha) and yesterday I got back 4 RSVPs!! All yes's might I add. This is so exciting! Can't wait to check the mail again today lol. Hope all of you are getting plenty of "yes" responses too! Just wanted to share my excitement :)
