Why don't alot of brides like satin? I dont think its heavy,maybe for a summer wedding yes but for a winter wedding...PERFECT!! Also, ruching. I have seen in alot of polls that satin and ruching are a no no for alot of brides too lol!! I have come to absolutely love my dress in the past week. I know for sure IF I was still getting married in spring, I would have chosen lace no doubt!! But my dress is pretty light and has crinoline under which is a bit heavy but adds some poof. I will be wearing a slip under for more poof too.
So are there any other brides with satin AND ruching?:) Mine is way big and wrinkled but once fitted it'll look awesome!!
I have one!! I actually never meant to get satin OR rouching, but somehow that's what I ended up with!
I think you ladies look beautiful in your dresses! My dress was satin and had rouching. It is also a DB dress, which I *think* is discontinued. I loved it, always wanted a satin dress because I love the feel of it, and didn't find it heavy at all! Rouching can also be very flattering if done correctly.

I LOVE satin! It's the fabric that I specifically wanted!I know you've seen it before, but I love it so I'll post it again. Once she gets here I'll post pics of me and not the model.
My dress is silk taffeta, but definately has the satin like sheen to it and lots of ruching.
This thread makes me so happy to see I'm not the only one who chose this kind of dress!!!

@shushu1208: I almost chose that!!! Charmeuse and ruching:) Like satin but prettier I thought. But the its just wasn't the one for me
@sooner365: Oops, haha, yea I meant charmeuse. I don't know where my head was at when I posted it! Close enough to satin, right? ;-) I think your dress looks perfect on you - perfect choice! I actually was going for more chiffon when I first started out, but surprisingly I went with ruching and charmeuse!

I chose ivory satin with ruching. Honestly, I didn't even think about the time of year. When I put it on, I knew it was mine...
I had satin and rouching, and even though I know some people think it's going "out" I still think it is classy and beautiful. I tried on all kinds of dresses and loved a big tulle dress but when I looked at pictures of both of them I realized that the satin/rouched dress looked SO MUCH better on me! AND it photographed well. There is nothing wrong with the other types of dresses but I really feel like s/r dresses are flattering on everyone and just look awesome!

Ahhh! Thanks for reviving this! I totally forgot about it... I took off the beading and bow on my own and now love it more:) Just gotta make the cups even. One side is higher and the other side folds funny. See? The right side with the phone in my hand, lays funny and is lower. Other than that I love it! Def. can see the difference in the very first pic in this post
Bd lighting but it is VERY white!
I know everyone is tired of seeing this dress, but I love her and haven't seen her on a bride apart from the bee. The beading was perfect for my snowflake theme, and the satin is perfect for a winter wedding. THe hubby requested ruching, so i didnt want to let him down.
@ticklemepink: May I ask what colors you used?? I am having a winter wedding:) Kinda snowflake/blingy theme.
