Why would you care what others think? You like it, your FI likes it. Who cares what others say?

People lack filters…I would hate for them to see my ring (0.6ct wt). I love how small my ring is…if it was bigger on my hand then it would overwhelm it. Who gives a crap what other people think about YOUR ring? They don’t have to wear it or look at it. If you love it then its good enough.

@RubyStar:

You’re right. Those types of comments are very impolite. Although it does not surprise that some of your friends and acquaintances may have those thoughts, I do continue to be amazed that some people actually would give voice to them in your presence. As a prior poster noted, some individuals just seem to be unable or unwilling to filter their words before saying them and then lack the social grace immediately to apologize and correct themselves once they realize what they’ve said.

I totally get you! It’s amazing that people will say things like that.  And honestly…good luck to them in finding happiness when it sounds like their version of happiness depends on ring size! I mean, what if they fall in love with someone who can’t afford a sillly-huge ring???? Oh well, obviously they are miserable twats.

Meanwhile, you have everything you need. 😀 Ignore them!

@RubyStar:  Eh, humans are mean and jealous creatures. Don’t let their comments bother and upset you!

Seriously! That’s awful! I hope you have a good comeback… Like “Well, I’d get a boyfriend before worring about getting an e-ring! Haha!”

@RubyStar:  Just smile and remember: It’s not the size of the ring, it’s the person that you got it from that matters. Don’t give a single sh*t about what others think of your ring. Also, it’s a little snobby to think this way but…. you’ve got a ring and a guy that loves you. Na-na-na-boo-boo. 🙂

@BrandNewBride:  Love that! haha!!

@RubyStar:  Where I come from, 1 carat is big! My stone is just slightly above 1 carat and I get compliments all the time…..maybe you should move? Smile All jokes aside, I’m sure it’s gorgeous! Don’t give their opinions a second thought Wink

I have a feeling a lot of men/women who totally know they’re getting a 3ct stone (because they totally have, like, $2000 saved up! like, totally, so much money!!!) are going to be rudely awakened when they actually start shopping for rings.

Everyone’s said it a thousand times, but seriously no one else’s opinion matters other than the couple. Keep rockin it.
