@Daizy914:  Awww.  That would make me feel embarrassed. 🙁

To heck with him!  Maybe he’s jealous that you’re having such a jolly ‘ol time!

I snort really loudly, even if something isn’t that funny.  Other people might just give it a quiet chuckle, I let out a giant snort.  Can’t help it, just happens.  People laugh about it (usually gets more of a laugh than whatever caused me to do it in the first place) and joke about it.  I’m so used to it it is pretty much expected for someone to mention it now.

That comment makes the person saying it look like a jerk. Don’t be embarassed.

@Daizy914:  Don’t be embarrassed. That person was being a jerk. Like, who cares?! Laugh! Does s/he hate to see people happy or something? :p

@Daizy914:  Totally agree with pps- that person sounds kind of jerky and humourless.

@Daizy914:  There’s some people in our office that laugh very loudly, and it usually startles me (and others). If he/she was concerned about volume, I can understand – although there are nicer ways to address the issue.

However, if he/she didn’t think something was funny, and you did…it’s none of his business what does and doesn’t make you laugh.

He’s an ass either way TBH.

@Daizy914:  Apparently that guy/gal doesn’t laugh enough in life. Tell him/her you will live 7 years longer because you laugh harder and more frequent 🙂

I don’t know if that is true, but that’s what my mom always says and mom’s are always right, even when they’re wrong, lol.

@Daizy914:  Just tell your co-worker that things tend to be funnier if you have a sense of humor 😉

@Daizy914:  That was rude.  It’s always annoying when someone you’re not close with (I’m assuming you’re not very close) makes comments like that.  I once got loud when a friend and I were jokingly teasing each other about something and this guy I barely know made a big deal out of covering his ears and told me I was screaming in his ear.  I was sort of stunned speechless and of course had about 5 things I wish I’d said to him well after the fact 🙂

Don’t sweat it — people who love you surely appreciate your laughter 🙂

You should have told him you were laughing at him, he sounds like a mean grump.

I see why you’re embarrassed.

Sometimes people laugh really hard and it’s irritating. If they do it a lot, it can be very obnoxious. The person didn’t have to say anything, but they did. It may have been rude, but I’m not going to call the person a jerk or a-hole or recommend that you say something snarky should it happen again.

Sometimes things like these happen. That’s all.
