Wow they definitely take the cake for rudest guests ever (pun completely intended)! Sorry the brides and you had to deal with that.

Milibee13:  That is never ok at any party, and I don’t know why they would think that it was in this instance. Cutting the wedding cake is a big deal, with a lot of symbolic meaning behind it. I wonder how they would feel if someone ate their wedding cake before they got to cut it.

Milibee13:  WOAH! There are so many stories on here where the supposedly rude behaviour is a little subjective but that is such obvious and blatant terrible behaviour! What are these people, 5 years old? That is so wrong and really upsetting for the bride and groom (and you after you put so much effort in!)

Seriously some people….

Milibee13:  I have never heard of this happening before, how rude!  I would be so upset in my guests if they were to do that 🙁 How did the bride react when she found out? Was anything said? I think I would be so peeved off that I wouldn’t bother sending those guests a thank you card.

WTF? I’d have been livid. Who does that?? Had any of those people ever been to a wedding before? Any kind of gathering? I’d never go to someone’s house and just start cutting and eating a cake with no permission.. nevermind a WEDDING. Geez. Sorry you had to deal with that. I would have been fuming.

I would have started confiscating silverwear at that point.  If you want to dig into the cake, do it with your bare hands.

How rude!
