Aw you poor thing.  Break ups  can be hard especially when they mess you around but hes treated you terribly.  If I was you look for another job and have a fresh start. He sounds like he hasnt a clue what he wants and that’s not fair on deserve someone whos going to fully commit to you.

Wow, just wow. I don’t understand some people. Does everyone there know about the engagement? If so, I think he should be the one to feel uncomfortable if everyone knows what a jerk he was treating you like that. I would have a very hard time pretending that nothing happened. I hope he quits.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. I would not quit my job. I would look for a new one like a PP said. It’s going to be very hard dealing with him on a daily basis but I would try to ignore him.

@anna_met:  I agree with @BriansBride:  . Why should you be the one to look for another job? He has treated you shamefully. He is the one who should be hiding his face and looking for a new job.

You have done nothing wrong. Keep your job if you want. Give your ex the “cold shoulder” whenever you are near him. Tell people the truth if they ask.

You poor thing! I can’t imagine how painful this must be for you but don’t add to your pain by becoming unemployed. If anyone should quit their job it should be him! If your coworkers ask you, just tell them the truth, I promise you any normal person will side with you on this one. Maybe he’ll be the one who quits and if not, keep your job and search for a new one in your spare time.
