I used to run 4-5 times a week, now it’s more like 3, but I’ve added swimming.

Everyone is different with their injury and exhaustion thresholds. I used to run 6 days a week when training for marathons, but I got really tired and injured and have cut back. I’m not training for anything, but I am trying to stay in shape for my wedding next month! I run Monday (6 miles), run Tuesday (6 miles) and strength train, swim Wednesday (around 2,800 meters), run Thursday (6 miles), crosstrain Friday (elliptical and stairmaster for an hour) and strength train, run Saturday (10 miles), and crosstrain Sunday (elliptical 30 minutes) and do a lifting class. I exercise a lot, but I love it!!

When I’m focusing on running mostly, I do 4 days a week or so. It’s ok to do successive days as long as you aren’t over tiring yourself or overworking . Right now I’m doing 2 cardio days, 3 weight, and one extra activity so only doing HIIT on the treadmill once a week

I’m a semi-runner Bee.  Not full fledged by any means.  😛

I usually run 2-3 times a week, and have been doing yoga, and will be starting a weight lifting class in September.

i used to run every day, then discovered weights – which burns more calories and tones too, so good!

typical fitness week for me now is:

monday – pump (weights) class followed by 30 minute run

Tuesday – pump class followed by 30 minute run

weds – spin class

Thursday – 45 min run and indoor netball game

fri – rest day

sat – netball game (in winter time) in summer Pump class and 50 min run

Sunday – winter – quick 20 min run or rest if raining , summer – hill run 30 mins

sometimes i do my 30 min run before pump class if i finish work early.

it varies but thats generally it

@lealorali:  I try and skip a day in between running and do something else because running can be really hard on your leg joints and i don’t want to make myself unable to walk in my daily life. This week I ran 5km two days in a row but it was only because I wasnt able to fit it in any other day this week and needed to run that as I’m training for a 5km in October and need to get better. The days I’m not running I do  two weight lifting class (mon & fri), a yoga class, and a dance inspired bootcamp (2hours) I like to work hard during the week and take a much needed break on the weekends..unless I’m feeling super energetic I will try and fit a run in by the lake if the weather is nice 🙂

I run 3-4 days per week and swim or cycle on 2 more nights. Pretty full schedule, but my weekday runs are in the 3-4 mile range, and I do my long runs on the weekends.

I’m training now for a half marathon in October, so my mileage will increase progressively over the next 1.5 months, but I won’t be increasing my frequency. My knees can’t handle more than 2 days of back-to-back running.

I run three to four days a week and aim to do pilates on the non-running days. I was doing great with that routine, and then came the summer heat and humidity and I got lazy! It’s an annual break, so it’s not too bad.

@lealorali:  iv always been into exercise since i was a wee tot so its not crazy for me, its just what your body is used to. youd be surprised what u can do! i run after pump because it burns more calories/revvs metabolism more after a big weights session followed by cardio

In training I normally run 4 times a week.  Off training 2-3.

As a PP mentioned, I’ve also taken up weights and oh boy, do I ever love it more than running.  Though, there’s nothing like having an awesome run day. 😉
