    Hey everyone! I'm looking for a good spot to get our engagement photos done. We want something natural, simple (and free), like a big cotton field or a pretty forest area or something like that. I'm new to the area so I don't know anything. : ) Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

    If you drive about an hour outside of Atlanta you can find little towns with big cornfields and that type of thing. I would go out near Lawrenceville or Cumming. Talk to your photographer, they will probably know a good spot!

    Hmm, I'll look into that, thanks!

    Actually my photographer is brand new to the area as well so ... we are both clueless. Hehe.

    @moonadea: check out Serenbe towards Lagrange, we had our e-pics done there. It's a $100 site fight to take pics there, but then you have free reign of the place. They did the cover shoot for Southern weddings V2 there.

    @moonadea:

    Go to Sweetwater Creek State Park http://gastateparks.org/SweetwaterCreek

    (not to be confused with Sweetwater Brewery)

    They have I think three separate hiking trails that get you to great spots.  They have the Chattahoochee running through it, which is a great background.  They also have an old cotton mill ruins from Civil War era that you will see on the home page there.

    Not far from the city - about 20 mins.  Take 1-20 West and get off at Thornton Road exit...signs will direct you there...not far from exit.

    I agree!  The ruins at Sweetwater Creek are awesome!

    I used to keep my horse in Conyers, GA. It's very pretty and rural out there - lots of horse farms.
