You’re not wrong.  It’s your wedding and you want people who love you to stand up with you.  If you don’t talk to her (or even like her) she’s OUT!

Kicking someone out of a wedding can seem like a bridezilla move, and often ends friendships.  If you have no problem severing ties, then I suppose that is your choice.  It sounds like you do’t hang out anymore.  Is her boyfriend/ex friends of your and your FI’s?  Is there a chance they could get back together?  If that is the case it might be better to keep her in the wedding.

It doesn’t sound like you’ll regret bumping her out of the wedding, but it does sound like you might regret keeping her in it. It’s a tough call to make, but I’d go the route that is least likely to make you feel bad when you look back on your big day later on down the road.

Generally, it’s pretty rude to kick someone out of the wedding.  However, if this is a person you no longer care to be friends with, then end the friendship (and by default remove her from the wedding AND your life).  Be honest with her- she exhibits behaviors that go against your beliefs and lifestyles, and you don’t want that kind of negative energy in your life.

A few things:  did she already buy a dress?  If so, you should reimburse her if she can’t return it.  Also, do NOT replace her in the wedding.  If you end up with uneven sides, I promise your marriage will not be invalid.  It will just cause more drama than need be because it appears that you consider your friends replaceable and it makes the replacement feel like, …a replacement.

This isn’t the kind of person you need in your life OR your wedding 🙁

Give her the boot! You have enough to worry about when planning a wedding than babysitting someone like that.

Not wrong at all for giving her the boot! I had to do the same sadly but for different circumstances and it totally works out for the best in the end 🙂
