I am having trouble deciding on my centerpieces.
My original inspiration was this picture:

The florist is planning on making these arrangements for me (to be in milk glass vases).
I decided on burlap runners at some point (already purchased so these are definitely being used).
I also have a collection of about 50 mason jars to use which I have been wrapping in various combinations of lace and burlap twine, which are candle holders and will serve dual purpose as my table numbers.
So, my question is: Do the milk glass vases “go” or have I evolved too away far from a “vintage” look, to a more “rustic” look.
To be clear, I am definitley putting together a more rustic wedding than vintage, but cant decide if the milk glass fits in. I like it by itself, but can’t decide if its out of place.
The alternative would be swapping the milk glass vase for a large mason jar or large clear regular vase for the flowers.
For what it’s worth, I have no intention of using milk glass anywhere else in the decor, I had just loved it since finding my inspiration picture.

@Snapdragon2804: I think the milk glasses are beautiful. I’m not very good at matching, but I’m not sure they will go with the clear jars. We used all clear jars for our centerpieces.

@MsCarabiner: thanks for your help! 🙂 I like the pic you uploaded. I started asking my FI about his opinion (because he likes to help when he can) and he suggested putting everything out in a “fake” table to see how it looked together. (I was planning on setting up a mock table at some point but he convinced me to do it now). I tried it both ways and I think I like the look of the clear vases better! Luckily, I have both so I have lots and lots of time to ultimately decide.
You centerpices are pretty!

@Snapdragon2804: Thanks! If you do decide to go with clear vases on the tables maybe you could use your milk glasses somewhere else. They still fit the theme, and they are beautiful 🙂

I think that milk glass definately goes with the whole rustic theme! It can look really cute, even if you do like another bee mentioned and put it in a groupong or something somewhere else.
Good luck- I’m sure it will be beautiful regardless if you use the milk glass or not!
