Ohh The Barn is BEAUTIFUL, if you can afford it. I know they have a $10,000 mimimum -- but the venue is to die for, especially for this area! They don't have a website you just have to call for info! :)
@emjnost: I don't know if you had found your venue yet, I see your post is several months old. I am from the Quad Cities myself and I am considering the Costello Old Mill for my site in Maquoketa. Here is their website. http://www.costellosoldmill.com/

I don't know when you are planning on gettting married, but I just saw your post. There is also The Celebration Farm, which is right on the outskirts of Iowa City. The website is www.thecelebrationfarm.com It's pretty amazing, and can be very affordable based on the day of the week you hold your wedding.

We are having a July 16, 2011 "rustic country" wedding and I'm looking for ceremony and reception sites...we would love to have it all in one area! We are from Marion, but don't mind having it elsewhere....I saw someone post about the Schwab barns and it looks beautiful...anyone know how to get more information about the facility?
