I wanted to have my wedding here but we have too many people. It's the Happy Days Lodge one.... http://www.cvnpa.org/ExtraordinarySpaces/Weddings.aspx
Check out Quailcrest Farms: http://www.quailcrest.com/ and Patterson Fruit Farm: http://www.pattersonfarm.com/html/orchard_hills_center.html
Good luck!
I don't know Ohio so don't know if these are in the right area or not:
from other websites
. There's a park called Litzenberg near Finflaythat has a barn that they rent out for receptions
Do a search for Hancock County Ohio Park District. I can't remember the exact website, but I think it's hancockparks.com or something similar.
Have you thought about Malabar Farm? It's definitely rustic! There is also a barn used for receptions in Wooster that's suppose to be really pretty!
I think it really depends on what you are looking at for budget... We are having our wedding at Patterson Fruit Farms in Chesterland (its near cleveland/mayfield). I too wanted the "rustic barn feel" but this was a perfect compromise for a REALLY great price!!! We are having an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception (but there is a patio)The reception space has windows going all the way around... and you can see all the way to lake erie! Its a charming place and Betty (the event planner) IS AWESOME! check out their website for some pics but honestly you have to see it in person to really see the charm!!
We also looked at Conrad Botzum Farm- too expensive (rental fee was 2000 and included NOTHING) you have to rent tables chairs EVERYTHING! which i found REALLY adds up quick! plus it is litterally a BARN.. no protection from the elements and bathrooms are outside....
Hale Farm- Also pretty pricey... they only use one caterer and the price started at 65 a head a believe- not really a barn... but a beautiful setting

Hi ladies! I am originally from the Youngstown, Ohio area but am active duty military and have been stationed in upstate New York. My entire family still lives in Ohio and my fiance's family is right along the Ohio border in Indiana. So we are looking to have our wedding in Ohio, but nowhere specific because just about everywhere from Columbus up north to Lake Erie is half-way for our families. I'm dead set on going with a "rustic/barn" theme but I'm having a HORRIBLE time finding any types of venues online. Does anybody know of any local places to where you live that fit this description? Thanks a bunch!
