The Byron Colby Barn seems to be everything you need, but they have preferred vendor lists which might mean that you can’t hire your own licensed, insured bartender and buy your own alcohol. But it might be worth looking into!

I agree with the Byronn Colby Barn.  It’s absolutely charming, with lots of areas for great photos!  Not sure it will hold 200 though!  It’s in Grayslake off of Rt. 45, so close to you…

@Waitingbee57:

I found another red barn in the area you have been looking. Looks like outdoor space for ceremony is available too-but I’m not sure on cost.  (I hope you got my PM.)

The capacity is 175 (approx. 90 per story). Table and chair set-up is provided. Dates are available May through October.

Cost: $75.00/hour
(4 hour minimum)
Wedding Reception Rate: Saturday rate $750.00 (9 am -12am)
Licensed caterer of your choice required.  Alcohol allowed at events through MVM bar service or a caterer with a liquor license.

Here is more info for you from the website:

THE GAZEBO
Located in the Village, the Gazebo provides a beautiful setting for an outdoor wedding or entertainment venue.

Renter is responsible for chair rental.

Cost: $175.00 for 3 hours

Rent our beautiful grounds for your company picnic or wedding reception.  Call for pricing.

We require a licensed cater and/or food purchased from a licensed facilty – in other words – nothing prepared in your own kitchen with the exception of snack chips, cookies, non-alcoholic beverages, etc. Food must be brought in ready to serve – no kitchen in the barn thus no warming units.

What is included with the rental price?

We provide the chairs and tables for the rooms, the hotel and the barn. You are responsible for your own chair rental for the gazebo. We do not provide anything else i.e. table coverings, dishes, coffee pots etc. You or your caterer will need to provide all those items.

What hours can we rent the facility?

We are open for rentals from 9 am until midnight. Everything and everyone must be cleared out by midnight.

We have 60 in. round tables that seat 8 each in all of our rental areas. We also have a number of 8ft rectangular tables in the and barn for your other needs.

brienne.heatley:  The Pavilion at Orchard Ridge in Rockton, IL and Williams Tree Farm also in Rockton, IL might be good places to start looking.

My Fi’s cousin got married there.. I’m not sure how many guests they had or if it’s just how they had it set up.. it was a very tight squeeze (they had it all upstairs- ceremony, reception, etc) but, it was very pretty! They had a changing table in the ladies room.. (my daughter was only 2 months old) lol. So, I loved that part of it!
