Hi ladies – I am so excited for our rustic/Beach wedding (taking place on the beach on Amelia Island) next April.. I am starting to come up with the reception menu. I think half we will do and the other half will be catered. I was thinking..
Gormet Mac & Cheese Bar – lots of fixings and yummies!- Sour Cream
– Bread crumbs
– Green onions
– Different types of gormet cheese
– Hot sauce
Mini hamburger sliders – this is easy to do and could provide yummy fixings for this as well
Thoughts?? Of course a plethora of other food(s), just haven’t decided yet. (:

If it’s a beach wedding I expect some fish and seafood, maybe some crab or lobster to throw into that mac & cheese. Maybe you could do a fish fry?
And for something as unhealthy as mac&cheese and sliders maybe a salad bar to get some good veggies in.
By the way I can tell you’re Southern by the “fixings” 😀

Yes, a fish fry sounds like a great idea…or a lobster/crab boil.
Personally, whenever I’m down that way, I have to get gator bites (that’s one of my few requirements for my own FL wedding next year haha).

Mac and cheese just doesn’t say rustic beach wedding to me.
Fish n chips, grilled prawns, crab etc with something for the non seafood eaters (like hamburgers) would be better.
