Lol, I was thinking, you were sending a STD with a photo for guests to sign in with... haha, don't know why... that doesn't make sense at all! haha
It doesn't make it harder, it can be really cute... but it depends on your sign. If it's just a poster board then it might be awkward :-) Stringing together letters/numbers are usually really cute. Hold it across the two of you and kiss.
LOL! I had trouble figuring out how to work the title - so i don't blame you for being confused!
Ideally we'd make the sign ourselves to tie in with the colours on the S-T-Ds and the invites...
yeah I was confused about the title too. LOL, bu that sounds nice. I have seen a few floating around and they are cute.
I have seen some really nice save the dates with the couple holding a sign. I think they are great if that is something that fits with what you want to do.
Here's ours: we had a blast doing it, and the sign hangs in our office. We sent them out with Christmas cards and everyone loved them.
BTW, the first shot is the one we used in the actual STDs, the second was our alternate.

We did it with ours and I've gotten lots of compliments on it!

I think holding a sign looks beautiful and unique. Do what you want it's your wedding :)

What do you think of Save the Date cards that have a photo of the couple holding a sign that says "Save the Date" or just has the date written on it?
I definitely want to incorporate a photo of us (we both love photography), but I'm not totally sold on the idea of us having a sign. I think its a cute idea, but I worry that it makes it hard to get as nice of a photo when you're worrying about holding a sign.
Any opinions, or examples?
