My DH had low everything (and we need IVF), so not sure what to say about just low morphology!  Just remember that you might get slightly biased results because most people who have a SA done have it done because they are having fertility problems and not just for the heck of it, so it’s quite possible that there are many men walking around conceiving naturally all the time who have low strict morphology.  But I would ask an expert — a reproductive endocrinologist or urologist specializing in male infertility would know best! Good luck!

I agree with NYCkitten.  I also think your DH should make an appointment with a uroligst who specializes in male infertility (not all urologists do).  Between the two of them, you should get some good guidance.  We have male factor issues that require IVF (unfortunately, much worse than a morphology issue), and we work closely with both doctors.  Your RE might be able to recommend someone.  Depending on how severe the issue is (so it may or may not be necessary), it can help if you have docs who are willing to work together.  Good luck to you!

@bananasareyellow:  Hi! A bee referred me to you saying that you ended up conceving naturally despite your husbands SA results. I just got my husbands yesterday. He had low count 9 mil, 33% motlility & morphology was normal. So not horrible… but not ideal. I am totally holding on to hope that there are bees out there like you that had abnormal SA results and still conceived naturally. We also have been actively trying since Jan2013.

@bananasareyellow:  thank you for the advice!!! 🙂 the dr decided to put me on clomid since he thinks I’m not ovulating regularly. He said my husbands issues are secondary and not horrible so if we fix my ovulating problem that may get us a bfp! Fingers crossed I can graduate to a month board soon 🙂
