you could try the different golf courses around the area... or even the wineries
Hi Sara - I just posted a list of a few of my favorites in the area.
Check it out: Our Venue Menu.
I know your post was 5 months ago so you probably have already found a place, but if not, you should definitely check out the Monte Verde Inn near Auburn! I went and looked at it with my fiance and we were both impressed with how organized and friendly they were, and the food sounded great! AND the prices were VERY reasonable. Ultimately we decided to get married in San Francisco, but if we were going to get married in Sacramento, this would be the place.
I was going to suggest Empire Mine in Grass Valley-- not exactly Sacramento, but a beautiful garden location!
If you want to go little outside of Sacramento, there are some scenic sites that I can recommend. I am a photographer and I shot weddings at all these places -
Kissler ranch, Grass Valley
Forest House, Forest Hill
Gold Hill Vineyard, Placerville
If you are looking for country clubs -
Arden Hills
Granite Bay Golf course
Morgan Creeks gold course
Look at http://where-i-do.com/ Kassidy helps brings homeowners together with brides so that we can use their estates for weddings. I'm actually getting married this summer at Stone Ranch in Lodi.

Hey all!!
Does anyone have any suggestions for some beautiful/unique locations or venues around here? I have just been casually browsing some blogs and message boards for wedding ceremony/reception combo locations in the Sacramento area, and while there are some really pretty winery/country club venues, nothing jumps really grabs me. (For instance, I had a couple of friend get married in the Crest Theatre downtown, and it was SO cool... not your standard church or community center!)
