It’s true what they say: They really don’t know until you try it on. I spent the past few weeks trying to track down a few dresses I saw online and thought I would love, but didn’t pan out at all. I even drove to a dress shop an hour and a half away from my house to try to find an Allure I thought I would love. But the winner was a surprise — a simple silhouette with a lace top that just floats. Tara Keely 2151!
The photos online really don’t do it justice — it looks way nicer in person. And I’ll be skipping the ridic black bow belt for a simple champagne ribbon.
Also happy to say that it wasn’t as pricey as I thought it was going to be (basically the same price, and even less than some of the Allure ones I tried on) — and I think it serves as proof that simple dresses in nicer materials can totally trump over-top-dresses in cheaper fabrics. On the rack (and even on the model) it looks boring, but when I put it on it just felt SO NICE.
Will post a pic of me in it when I go to officially buy it this weekend. Anyone else have it?? Dying to see how other brides styled it!
