I am thinking about doing a sailboat reception (church wedding b/c I’m christian)
With simple o’durves it should be reasonable (they have a quote as $500 an hour…so 3 hours and a light lunch will be under $2,000)
Being a hearty and true blue New Englander it seems to solve all my problems, it’s classy, it’s unique, it’s cheap, it’s local, it limits my guest list and controls my lovley (manditory) guests who drink like fishes.

@autumnsail: Sounds fabulous! I have motion/sea sickness… but I would take some meds for a wedding!! LOL. Pictures will be gorgeous!!!! Sounds like a GREAT deal costwise!

Ahh maybe I should provide dramamine for the guests.
I’ve been on the boat before (they have public sails) and It’s AMAZINGGGGGGG. The crew is friendly and kind and they are great with kids….of our 30-40 guests 10-12 will be of the half-pint variety (between 2-12years old)
