I’ve always had short, straight asian eyelashes and always wanted to get eyelash extensions but I couldn’t justify paying for it. When I got engaged I knew I would have to get them for my wedding! (For all those great close-up pictures)
I haven’t really thought about it in the last few months but then I got a Lifebooker coupon today for 67% of Extreme Lash Extensions!
The coupon is valid for a year so I could get them right before my wedding!I am just a little worried that maybe I should get two coupons and do it once now just to make sure my eyes don’t turn birhgt red and swell up. Or are eyelash extensions like hair extensions (which I also haven’t gotten)? Is it pretty risk free?
Has anyone else gotten fake eyelashes? If so, do you have any adivce comments?

I worse falsies at the wedding and they made my eyes look amazing!

I have never had eyelash extensions personally, but I’ve heard that they can cause your lashes to fall out from a friend who had them. They looked great while they were new, but I would be worried about my lashes falling out.
I would just wear false lashes.

BY falsies, do you just mean a set of false eyelashes? Did you have them professional applied?
Thanks for the feedback! My understanding is that since they are attached to your real eyelashes, they come out naturally as your real lashes come out. Did you friend have a different experience? I really don’t want to lose my eyelashes (even if they are short and straight)!

@Miss JD: They told her they would just fall off naturally, but they actually destroyed her eyelashes (she lost way more than normal, and those that didn’t fall out were broken off at the ends). It took several months for her eyelashes to get back to what they were before the extensions. Kind of what your fingernails go through when you have acrylics done.
I would just buy some false eyelashes at the dollar store and play around with them. I’ve been practicing with them, and I can get them on pretty straight now. They look awesome, and I have no problems with them falling off or anything.

@Miss_JD: Yeah, I just had false eyelashes applied by a makeup artist.

@Miss_JD: Eyelash extensions are really popular in my city. Well…at least among people I know. They’re really cute, but I’ve heard most people don’t have eyelashes by the time the false ones fall out. It seems like they take the real ones with them. Honestly, I’d go get some Ardell lashes from the local drugstore, Walmart, Target, etc. and experiment with those. Or, your makeup artist (if you have one for your wedding day) can put some falsies on for you!
Also, find a GOOD mascara. There are so many new ones out that really, really, plump up your lashes. My aunt thought I had falsies on this summer, but it was just some LashBlast!
And there’s all sorts of eyelash growing stuff out now (Latisse, I think) and I’ve heard Castor Oil. Yes, like the laxative. It thickens hair! Just some tips, if you’re interested in going that route.
