    Hello Baltimore Brides,

It's with a heavy heart that I deliver this review. I've looked for all the right places to publicly comment on the service my family and I received from Samantha Silverman of Blessed of Times wedding officiants in Baltimore, Maryland, but this seems to be the only forum open. I don't normally leave bad reviews, but in this case, I think it's important that everyone be warned.

You get what you pay for.

For $300, I understood I was buying myself a no-frills officiant. I was OK with that.

What I am not OK with:

She showed up looking like she just rolled out of bed, and failed to annunciate the ceremony in a manner than any of our guests could hear.

It seemed as though she was reading the ceremony for the first time (think read-aloud time in grade school). At one point in the ceremony she was supposed to put down the book. When she did this, she had to turn and look at it because she didn't know what she was supposed to be saying. It made the ceremony feel like a farse, a play, not a real wedding.

What they did hear? She did not memorize the pronounciation of our name, which is a long one, but she promised to learn it and had nearly a YEAR to do so. She mispronounced it 3 times in different ways. We aren't just talking wrong inflection. We're talking wrong letters and too many syllables. It was the most humiliating thing, and when I visit my in-laws, that is all they remember: the butchering of their name. Durting the ceremony, I was so upset, I couldn't relax and focus on my man. I could hardly look him in the eye because I picked her and I felt so bad for making the wrong choice.

She left so quickly after that I didn't get a chance to tell her how unhappy I was and she never contacted me since or tried to apologize.

What she did right: She did show up. She did perform the ceremony I asked for.
