My beautiful wife and I were married June 14, 2008 at the Silver Bay YMCA camp in Lake George, NY. While the ceremony was not legally binding, it was important to us to affirm our committment in front of our friends and family - and, of course, to celebrate with them!
The hive can appreciate all of the DIY labors of love: our invitations were handmade, dupioni silk covered pocketfold invitations; we combined a TTD shoot with our engagement pictures for our save-the-dates; we made table numbers, place cards, and programs; friends performed our first dance acappella; the officiant was an enthusiastic and dear friend; and, on top of it all, we wrote the entire ceremony!
We also had a photobooth which was a giant hit with our guests! Old dress-up clothes served as props, and hilarity truly ensued. This was the most talked-about detail of the day! Guests got to take home their pictures as favors, but we also slipped reprints of the pictures into the allotted space in the guestbook next to each guest's note.
It was a beautiful day - thank you to all the inspiration provided by the hive!!
The first pic of you on his site is one of the most stunning wedding pics I've ever seen. Seriously.
I was at an amazing two-guy wedding in Saratoga Springs the same day! I love that part of NY - 85 and sunny one minute, massive thunderstorm the next. My friends who married are fortunate to live in MA and enjoy the same rights I do - like the posters above, I hope you two will be able to experience those soon, too.
Congrats and thanks so much for sharing your awesome pics!!
I'm totally sitting at my desk at work and I'm all teary eyed! How beautiful and romantic!! I am so going to show my girl these shots - not only are they great shots, but the love just pours out of them.
Hello hive!

Our photographer, John Fitzgerald at Moments Kept Studios, took some absolutely stunning photos, which you can see here: www.kateandcarrie.momentskept.com.

I hope it's not too long before you can get the legal contract that goes with your obviously deep and abiding love.
(Diggin' the birdcage veil and stunning necklace, BTW!)
