oh my gosh definately go just to see what they offer, i went about two weeks ago (pretty large store) and they had a huge room w/about 200 (GORGEOUS) gowns, all $299-$999, and i got my maggie for 75% off!! it was amazing, clean and in excellent shape. i'd definately stop by, finding my dream dress and at such a wonderful price really made my day :o)
if you don't see anything, well at least you know you didn't miss out! good luck, happy shopping! if i didnt find anything at this one (i had called every gown shop in my surrounding area) priscilla of boston sample sale was my next stop...so let me know how it goes :o)
I got my gown at a sample sale of a local bridal boutique (they have multiple floors of gowns, and one entire floor was full of samples during their semi-annual sample sale). I found my perfect gown it just happened to be half off! Definitely worth going and checking out - sometimes you can get a real steal on your perfect dress!

You should definitely give it a go. I've seen boutiques have sample sales where the discounts range from 30-75% off!
Wow, thanks!!! I am def looking forward to it now. The dress I looked at I was told is new. I also read there will be a sample sale in March 2010 so I am wondering if my dream dress will be on sale at the sample sale.
Just so you know what you are getting into - a sample sale means you are buying the floor sample at the store. Its an awesome deal if the dress is in good condition (or can be cleaned/repaired easily) AND you can fit in the dress.
PoB also has trunk shows where you get (I think) 15% off the dress (ordered just for you) and if you open a PoB credit card you get another 5% off the dress price. Not as cheap as a sample sale, but another option if you are open to it.

Ok so after my dilemma about the dress price, and being new to the wedding dress arena here is my next question?
How does a Sample Sale work?
Is every single dress in the store on sale?
Are the prices really that good? (meaning like 1/3 off or half off teh original price)
Has anyone ever been to a Priscilla of Boston sample sale?
Just thinking that if i can get the infamous dress I am lusting for at an amazing price then I will definately take it, if not then I am sticking to the original plan of Nicole Miller for the party.
Thanks for the answers!
