absolutely! I went to one in april and found my dress... the boutique I went to was so friendly and helpful! It was my best dress shopping experience and I had already looked at at least 5 other shops. I was very nervous b/c I ended up going alone and I thought things would be so crazy that the staff would be abrupt. But I was sooo wrong! I went to Bridals by Rochelle in Uxbridge, MA... fully recommend them and fully recommend sample sales even just for ideas. Worst case scenario: the dresses are often cheap enough you can buy a couple and have your favorite pieces of each pieced together in a custom creation by a tailor.
i was wondering the same! i haven't really been shopping yet so i'm afraid things will be hectic and i'll get excited and buy one b/c its a great price (which would be awesome) but regret it later??
I went to a Saks sample sale on a weekend...and was one of only 3-4 brides there. It was not crazy and it was SO worthwhile.
I already knew what I wanted, though, so I was able to flip through every one of the hundreds and hundreds of dresses they had relatively quickly/painlessly. I had already tried on dresses and had a certain dress in mind, and lo and behold, there were two of it on sale.
Even if you aren't sure what you want, just go! Bring people with you to help you flip through.
Yes! That's how I found my dress as well. The "chaos" is definitely worth it ..just be careful not to get carried away (like nurseamanda is suggesting:)) Have fun!! If you see a dress you really like ask if they can put it on hold for you - even if only for a few days. I, for example, didn't ask and rushed in and bought the dress. I love my dress and I don't regret doing it, but I see too many bees doubting their choice - not a nice feeling, I'm sure.
Not all sample sales are chaotic. Go - no matter what you will have fun trying on the dresses!
I found my dress at a sample sale. It's not always crazy--sometimes it's just calm and cheap! I second the others--you should go. What do you really have to lose?

Hi ladies
Need your opinions...is a sample sale worth going to if you don't have a good idea of what you want? Or don't already know what's there?
Is it worth the chaos?...thanks!
