Bridals by Susanti, Alfred Angelo, Demetrios, David's Bridal and Bridal Showcase all allow photography. I've only been to one that didnt: 2,000 Dreams.
Chez Bride Moderne does - but it's expensive.
Bridals by Susanti in Escondido
Aria (at N. County Fair and Fashion Valley)
The only 2 that really didn't let me were the two Bridal and Veil ones in Mission Valley.
I got mine at Here Comes the Bride - loved them.
I bought my dress from White Flower by Balboa Park and loved my experience there. I didn't ask about pictures, but I know they have video conferencing, so your mom can "be there" with you.
The White Flower on 5th and Laurel does allow pictures and the owner Courtney is soooo nice. You get the entire salon to yourself for your appointment. I love that place!
Thanks for posting this. I didn't even know pics taken at Bridal Salon's are an issue.
I bought my dress at Here Comes the Bride in 2008. They didn't let me take pictures of it until I had put a deposit down.
Maybe their policy has changed since then though...
Aria Bridal does NOT allow photos... at least they didn't last year when I was shopping dresses. I bought my dress from them, and they let me take pictures in my purchased dress, but not any of the ones before it. While strict about the photo rule, however, they were very nice about my request to take a picture, look at it on the camera, and then delete it while they watched. One of the things I learned while dress-shopping was that I perceive myself very differently in the mirror versus in a photo. Even though it wasn't the best way to view it, looking at the photo on the camera for a minute did help me out.
As for places I went that allowed photos: David's Bridal and PreVue.
Places I went that did NOT allow photos: Bridal & Veil, Aria Bridal, A Nite on the Town, Bridal & Tuxedo Galleria, 2000 Dreams.

San Diego Bees--Which dress shops allow photos in the San Diego Area? I have heard that Here Comes the Bride does, but I do not know about the other shops.
I do not care for the no-photograph policy for a number of reasons, like many of my fellow Bees. My mom lives 8 hours away and I would love to be able to have her input. I would also prefer to see how the dresses photograph on me and have the time to think over the dresses later without the stress of being in a bridal shop. My budget is $2000.
